Judy’s Strawberry Pretzel Salad
Sweet and Salty Strawberry Pretzel Delight
Ingredients:
- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- 3/4 cup melted butter
- 3 tablespoons sugar, plus 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping, thawed
- 2 (3 oz) packages strawberry Jell-O
- 2 cups boiling water
- 2 (10 oz) packages frozen strawberries
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix the crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 3 tablespoons sugar. Press into the bottom of a 9×13 inch pan and bake for 10 minutes. Allow to cool.
- In another bowl, beat the cream cheese and 3/4 cup sugar until smooth. Fold in the whipped topping. Spread over the cooled pretzel layer.
- Dissolve the strawberry Jell-O in boiling water. Stir in frozen strawberries and allow to set slightly. When it begins to thicken, pour over the cream cheese layer.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set.
