Ingredients

- 1/2 teaspoon salt

For the Bang Bang Sauce:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise (Japanese Kewpie mayo works wonderfully)
- 3 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons sriracha (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon lime juice
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
For Serving:
- Sliced green onions
- Sesame seeds (white, black, or a mix)
- Lime wedges
- Additional bang bang sauce for dipping
Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Salmon
- Cut salmon fillets into bite-sized cubes. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
2️⃣ Coat the Salmon
- In a bowl, mix ½ cup cornstarch (or flour) with a pinch of salt & pepper.
- Toss the salmon cubes in the mixture until fully coated.
3️⃣ Fry the Salmon
- Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Fry the salmon bites for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
- Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
4️⃣ Make the Bang Bang Sauce
- In a bowl, whisk together:
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup sweet chili sauce
- 1 tbsp Sriracha (adjust for spice level)
- 1 tsp honey (optional, for balance)
5️⃣ Toss & Serve
- Gently toss the crispy salmon bites in the Bang Bang sauce until fully coated.
- Garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, or fresh cilantro.
